I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiment. A very small percentage of the voting public are fully up to speed on both sides of the debate, on all issues, on everything each candidate has said.
BUT
The McCain/Palin CAMPAIGN is spreading this stuff, THEY are saying 'is he qualified', 'what do you know about his experience'. When the campaign is using these lines as part of their campaign and speeches, you just need to see if people are swallowing the bs whole without questioning it.
I'm not sure what parts of Obama's campaign you could do the same with really? Any suggestions? McCain is playing a much dirtier, much nastier campaign based on bs, so if the supporters are eating it up, you have to show them they're eating crap.

What exactly was McCain trying to say here? I'd be happy to see it in context, I'd be happy to see if it were just a bringing up a word that was just discussed, that's fine, it can be put down to a slip of the toungue, and really, I would put this down to that, as anyone would about the 'my Muslim faith' comment... although in that case he meant it in another way, so it wasn't even a slip, just a misunderstanding.
Give up QM, you're backing a very wrong, very old, very angry horse, and it's about to be taken behind the screen. Try to look away.

I too have changed my stance on all sorts of things, usually a case of understanding the other position better and therefore being able to see their point of view and why they do what they do or want what they want.

studies show that new information, even contradictory information, more often than not reinforces previous beliefs. It's sad but true, then again that's why im a liberal and open to new ideas. It's hard to think over and over again "i might be wrong about this" but it often tends to be the case.

Palin trying to make talking about the past be a no-go area was just shameful. It sorely showed how poor the Republican ticket is going when they have to try to pretend that everything the Republicans have done doesn't really exist, have to pretend that learning from mistakes doesn't make sense, how knowing your history can help you in the future.
They are a team of blinkered no hopers. It amuses me that republican supporters try on the 'Obama is just selling hope with no substance'... Where the Obama/Biden team are more than willing to talk about the actual issues, whereas the McCain/Palin team are a team actually selling 'fear with no substance'.
Please Right Wingers, even in your right wing allegiance, surely you can see how this particular ticket is selling snake oil? Surely you can see that?

As soon as McCain came on in this one my back got up... calling everyone 'my friends', lauding his idea for buying up properties at current value... um... Excuse me John, but that is ALREADY PART OF THE BAILOUT PACKAGE you f*cking numbnut. It's part of it, it's already being done. What a grandstanding dick he is.
